About Alkane

Alkane Resources is a gold production company with a strong exploration, development and investment portfolio. We are poised to become Australia’s next multi-mine gold producer, with projects and operations primarily located in central western New South Wales.

Current gold production is from our wholly owned subsidiary, Tomingley Gold Operations, which has been operating since 2014. In 2022 we’re expecting approval to develop two gold deposits immediately south of Tomingley to extend the operation’s life to at least 2031. The Tomingley Gold Extension Project is being conducted with consideration for the environment and the community.

In parallel, Alkane is progressing understanding of the extensive mineralised system discovered at Boda in 2019. We believe the Boda system, part of our Northern Molong Porphyry Project, has the potential to be a large, tier-one gold-copper project.

Alkane controls several highly prospective gold and copper tenements and is also pursuing other gold investment and development opportunities. The company was incorporated in 1969 and listed on the ASX in the early 80’s (ASX:ALK).

Our gold investment strategy for improving company value

In a strong market for Australian gold, Alkane has a focus on gold production, exploration and partnerships. This emphasis on gold is driven by our commitment to create value for shareholders. Our gold strategy is soundly based on our existing gold assets, established projects, promising prospects, and demonstrated experience in gold exploration and production.

Our multi-faceted gold investment strategy will increase value for shareholders and strengthen Alkane for the long term. We are using our strong cash resources to fund:

  • Tomingley Gold Extension Project. Development of the San Antonio and Roswell Resources (at surface and underground) will prolong the life of our existing asset, the gold processing plant at Tomingley.
  • Regional gold exploration. We continue to explore promising prospects between Tomingley and Peak Hill with the view to defining additional ore resources for processing at Tomingley.
  • Progress understanding of the Boda discovery. A comprehensive drilling program at Boda (and the nearby Kaiser and Duke deposits) is helping define the extent of the system and determine its potential to be a large, tier-one gold-copper project.
  • Strategic investment. We are seeking investments in junior gold mining companies and high-potential projects, where Alkane can contribute additional capital, expertise and operating capability, for mutual benefit. Our current investments include Calidus Resources (ASX:CAI) and Genesis Minerals (ASX: GMD).
